What this is

Real work, not a classroom.

An experimental, high-intensity cohort for a small group of exceptional young engineers. Real applied AI/ML engineering on a live project, with a senior team beside you.

Real work, not training slides

You'll build, test, and evaluate modern AI/ML systems — including model fine-tuning and evaluation — as part of a working team.

Senior mentorship

You report to an experienced project lead and work alongside NMG's senior engineers. You learn how real engineering teams ship.

A genuine shot at full-time

This sprint is how we identify people to hire. Strong performers receive a full-time offer to join NMG.

Small and selective

Only a handful of seats. Every applicant's GitHub is reviewed; only shortlisted candidates are invited to apply in full.

Who we're looking for

Strong builders who learn fast.

You don't need to be an AI expert. You need to be a genuinely strong builder who picks up new tools quickly.

  • Final-year CS/IT students or recent graduates (0–2 years) who can actually code.
  • Strong in Python and DSA fundamentals; comfortable reading code you didn't write; used to Git and the command line.
  • A real GitHub with your own projects — we value what you've built over where you studied. A LeetCode or CodeChef profile helps too.
  • Bonus: exposure to transformers, Gymnasium / RL, PyTorch / Hugging Face, fine-tuning, notebooks, Docker, or writing tests.
  • Able to be in our Gurugram office, full days, Monday to Saturday, for the sprint.
The honest terms

So you can decide clearly.

This is a POC-based cohort sprint. You join to learn, build a real proof-of-concept, and prove yourself — it is not a salaried role. It runs 6 days, Monday to Saturday, in person, at our Gurugram office, under a project lead. Strong performers receive a full-time offer to join NMG. If in-person full-time attendance isn't possible for you right now, this particular cohort won't be the right fit.
How selection works

Five steps, no black box.

Apply — shortlisted candidates receive a private application form. It takes about 10–15 minutes.
GitHub review — we look at your actual work, not just your CV.
Shortlist — a small group is invited to the in-office cohort sprint.
The sprint — 6 days (Mon–Sat) of real work with the team.
Offers — top performers are offered full-time roles at NMG.
Cohort lineup

Two cohorts, back to back.

The Applied AI cohort is running now. The Industrial AI cohort follows it, built around the factory floor.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Is this a salaried job?

No — this is a POC-based cohort sprint, not a salaried role. The goal is to learn, build a real proof-of-concept, and earn a full-time offer. Strong performers are hired.

How long is it, and is it remote?

6 days, Monday to Saturday, full days — and no, it is not remote. It runs in person at our Gurugram office.

Do I need AI experience?

No. You need to be a strong coder who learns fast, with solid fundamentals (DSA, Python). Exposure to transformers, Gymnasium/RL or fine-tuning is a bonus, not a requirement — we'll teach the specifics.

How do I apply?

Applications are by invitation. We review the GitHub profiles of engineers in the NMG Labs community and send a private application form to shortlisted candidates. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted.

Who runs it?

A senior NMG project lead, with our engineering team. You'll work directly with experienced people.

Applications are by invitation

We come to you.

There is no public application form. We review the work of engineers in the NMG Labs community and invite shortlisted candidates directly, with a private form.

The surest way to be seen is to build in the open and show up to a Forge sprint — that is where we find people.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
